Banghuris Homestay
Homestay is a form of tourism and/or study abroad program that allows the visitor to rent a room from a local family to better learn the local lifestyle as well as improve their language ability. Hosting a homestay participant also allows the local family to earn some additional, needed income. Having low profitability, as it is, homestay can not be regarded as strictly commercial activity, but more of cross cultural exchange.
The Banghuris Homestay is located in the Sepang district, 60km from Kuala Lumpur or 35km from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Follow signboards to Kuala Langat and then to Sungai Pelek.
Feel and experience a truly living lifestyle and the hospitality of the village folks in Banghuris, Sepang. This is a rare chance of experiencing a rapidly diminishing traditional lifestyle. Banghuris is a name representing three villages namely Kampung Bukit Bangkong, Kampung Hulu Chuchuh and Kampung Hulu Teris.
This homestay site which is surrounded with oil palm plantations, rubber trees and fruit orchards is close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia. Banghuris homestay program which was started more than 10 years ago focusing on agro-tourism sector.
The agro-tourism package includes visits to rubber estates, oil palm plantations and fruit orchards. Try your hand at rubber tapping, harvesting oil fruit bunches, and sample local fruits from the orchards.
Banghuris Agro & Activity Centre sites a scenic fish pond filled with local freshwater fish. Fishing rods and baits are available.
Leave your mark for the next generation to see. Plant fruit trees as a mark of remembrance of your stay here. Homestay visitors will be entertained to folk dances, and classical music using traditional instruments. Accommodation and meals are provided during the entire duration of your stay.
